Our Story

EO Richmond is a fun group of driven entrepreneurs that have a passion for learning and empowering other business owners.

The path of business ownership can be filled with obstacles and solitude.  EO Richmond provides a trusted network of entrepreneurs and business founders with the opportunity to grow their business and improve other aspects of their lives.

We are excited about expanding our network and sharing unique experiences with other qualified business owners in the community.  EO Richmond helps local businesses owners with world class education, access to leading speakers and visionaries, and leadership development.

EO Richmond was founded in 2019 and is one of EO’s newest chapters around the globe.

  • Greg Samuels

    President

    SOLVARIA, CEO

    Greg Samuels is the CEO of SOLVARIA, a 50 person Strategic Technology Leadership and Database Services firm founded in 1997. Greg also co-owns EDI Partners through his second firm, GS2 Ventures. Greg serves on the boards of CodeVA and the Weinstein JCC. When not working, Greg enjoys fishing and playing golf with his family and friends. Greg graduated VA Tech with a BS in Computer Science, and has been married for 29 years to his wife Geri. Greg and Geri have two children; Zack (22) and Erin (15).

    What has been your favorite EO experience so far?

    Attending the Global Leadership Conference in Cape Town, South Africa. I met EOers from all over the world and we bonded over shared experiences in our chapters. It was an amazing trip!

    What is your guilty pleasure?

    I am an avid builder of Lego sets, and enjoy cheesy 80s music on the regular!

    Jason Harper is a dedicated husband, father of three, and a certified rehabilitation counselor. He is deeply committed to empowering individuals with disabilities, parents in poverty, and injured workers through his vocational rehabilitation company, RSVP, Inc. With over 80 employees and serving over 1,000 clients across Virginia, Jason's leadership and passion have made a lasting impact.

    Jason is an active member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), a prestigious global network of business owners. Since 2019, he has served on the EO board, where his expertise and insights have contributed to the organization's growth.

    Alongside his professional pursuits, Jason remains committed to advocating for employment rights for people with disabilities. He serves on multiple boards and committees, tirelessly working towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society.

    Driven by his core values and fueled by his passion for making a difference, Jason Harper continues to inspire and empower others, leaving a lasting impact on the community and the lives he touches. In his free time, he cherishes quality moments with his family, creating a nurturing environment for his loved ones and finding joy in their shared experiences.

  • Collin Granger

    Finance Chair

    My name is Collin Granger and I am the CEO of EDI Partners, which is an EDI managed service and consulting company. When I'm not working I love to spend time with my wife and two young daughters (ages 2.5 and 3 months), golf, and run with my dog Arnie.

    What has been your favorite EO experience so far?

    I'm still pretty young in my EO career, but I would say the best experience so far was the chapter retreat last year at the Tides Inn.

    What is your guilty pleasure?

    Double stuffed Oreos... I can eat half a container in one sitting :O

    Mahreen is excited to be working with the EO Richmond chapter members, while helping the chapter to grow. Mahreen has a background in Corporate Education, Project Management and Tax Consulting for small to medium sized businesses.

    My favorite EO experience has been able to collaborate with individuals who have diverse mindsets and learning through their experiences.

    What is your guilty pleasure?

    My guilty pleasure is binge watching sit coms, again and again and again.

    EO Richmond, Event Producer

    As an event producer for EO Richmond, Laurel combines her work experiences in radio, television, special events, non-profits, commercial real estate, and even a zoo! Combined with her 17 years performing, teaching and coaching improv, she's able to use her creativity and organization to think out of the box when it comes to events.

    What has been your favorite EO experience so far?

    Laurel's favorite part of EO Richmond so far is getting to know the members and working with the speakers.

    What is your guilty pleasure?

    Laurel's guilty pleasure is playing either Skyrim or Horizon Dawn: Forbidden West on PS5.
